Thunder Valley Face Painting Halloween

Thanks to Thunder Valley for inviting me again to paint the many wonderful children and adults. I had a good time painting for their Halloween event.

Strawberry Music Festival

Well our second time to the infamous Strawberry Music Festival and whew! We painted and airbrushed four days with some pretty long hours - I can certainly say we were really beat by the end of each day. We had a great time and are enjoying making new friendships and looking forward to many more festivals.

What can I tell you about Strawberry? I am really taken with some of our young friends, some who came to be painted each day. Ella, a good friend instantly - she's beautiful and an old soul I am sure. So sorry I was too busy breaking down our booth to hear her play her fiddle at Monday morning breakfast. I am sure we'll hear playing on the main stage one day. Sophia and Marina sweet faces I love to paint. These two are such good sisters, and well - thank you, thank you very much to their dad who let me paint him like the 1970's Elvis. It was great to paint many repeat children and adults from last year and a blessing to have many who came each day - their names will be etched in my brain after next May's event. Thank you to Antonie's for our trade of face painting for crepes - yum! What a sweet child they allowed us to paint. And to little E who, painted like the Hulk made each days aching muscles worth it.

I didn't get the best pictures - let my camera at camp on Saturday but was way too buzy to take a picture anyhoo. OK so next year I hope you'll be able to see some great pics taken by Bob, Strawberry regular pancake-maker and photographer - who just maybe will be painted too.

Faerieworlds 2009 - hot and colorful

I have had such a busy summer. In a very hot July I was painting at Faerieworlds outside Eugene Oregon with my friend Fire Pixie. She is an amazing entertainer and face painting artist. See her skills and work at www.firepixie.com

Below Fire Pixie is trying out her new hoola hoop. Scroll Down to see we painted a good many butterflies and fairy faces, we also painted a few bodies. It was hot, an bit sticky but the people were great and the costumes wonderful.

The Strawberry Way

Well painting at Strawberry Music Fesitval was a blast. The profits were low - hey we painted $5 faces! But the friendly energy was high and the music great, food was wonderful and..well,some things make it all worthwhile.

We had a good time and look forward to a return run labor day weekend 2009.
We'll be back with face painting and airbrush tattoos.

Strawberry Music Festival

Next week I am off to paint at the 51st annual Strawberry Music festival a 4 days of bluegrass and fun. Head up to Camp Mather at Yosemite, camp on site and enjoy this family event, face art's gonna be a steal deal at $5 a face. Sound like a fun kick off to the summer season.

Ahhh - alas I have not posted any new photographs as I trashed my Cannon.
So off for repair before I show more.

To bad I painted some wicked neon cyborgs the other day, then some amazing sharks.
I can't wait to recreate and photograph those sharks to show you - not you standard great whites.
